Enhancements for the new season include; SMART plus construction, stylish new graphics and three opening front windows. With a wide range of layouts and options to tailor your model, you are sure to find a Sprite to match your budget.

  • New from the Sterling brand is the Eccles which features SMART Plus Construction. New layouts on the reintroduced Elite include the 560 single axle and 650 twin axle featuring a central washroom. There’s also the option for Alde heating on the Eccles range.  This range offers outstanding value at weights towable by most family cars. The Elite and Continental both feature the superb new Swift Command control system which includes a downloadable app to allow control and/or monitoring of several Caravan functions.

Expanding the Rio range this season are two new models with more traditional motorhome layouts. The 310 has a parallel front lounge with side kitchen and a rear washroom with a separate shower cubicle and the 325 has a travelling dinette with side washroom and kitchen plus a fixed rear transverse bed which is electronically operated so it can be raised to maximise the garage space beneath.

  • The Bessacarr is a stunning mid to upper level Motorhome range with several enhancements for 2016.

  • Above this sits the all new Black Edition Bolero which is simply stunning.  The profile looks instantly different with a new GRP front pod housing an opening sky view window and a new rear panel with sportier looking lower valance.  All exterior lighting is LED with cab day time running lights, front marker lights and Swift Group’s exclusive LED rear light clusters that not only look good, they give better visibility too. Inside is a complete transformation.  New Oyster Grey curved upper locker doors have a lower gloss ‘Aralie Sen’ inlay which complements the warm white kitchen lockers and gives an extra feeling of light and space.  Chrome accents run though with a chrome strip in the lockers doors, push button catches, sockets and a new backlit entrance door handle.

  • At the top of the range is enhanced black edition Kon-Tiki. Both the Bolero and Kon-Tiki feature the all new superb new Swift Command control system which includes a downloadable app to allow control and/or monitoring of several Motorhome functions.

Caravanning for ELEVEN!

Caravanning for ELEVEN!

You might have read the title of this blog and assumed there was a mis-type, but the Marklands from Lincoln – a family of eleven have just recently visited Brayford Leisure, their local Swift Group Caravan Dealer to collect their new 2015 Challenger Sport 640 – a six berth van. So if there are only six berths, how do they fit eleven people into the caravan and how on earth do they holiday together?
Janine Markland explains more to Swift Group Marketing Manager – Tom Anderton
“We love caravanning; it allows the entire family to get away together and gives us the freedom to get to all parts of the UK and also to the likes of Spain as a family unit. We have tried holidaying in hotels in Europe but found the family were constantly split up and were spread out in different room across the hotel. Also the expense of flights, transfers, food and drink just meant that we realised we were much better off buying a caravan. This gives us so much better value for money.
Because we have a minibus it enables us to take the whole family, we have six children under eleven and the older three are 12, 14 and 16. So what we do is fit the smaller children into the Caravan and setup a big awning for the older children to sleep in.
We love our new Swift Caravan with its fold up bunk beds. The children get so much from a Caravan Holiday, they get fresh air, education, visit some great places – the UK is a truly amazing place and as I mentioned the value we get from these holidays is incredible.”

James Watson – Branch Manager of Brayford Leisure (pictured third from the right) said:
“I am delighted the Marklands chose to buy their new Swift Caravan from Brayford Leisure. Whilst they are not first time caravanners, we are always on hand to help a family whether new to caravanning or more seasoned caravanners, whatever their size to find their perfect Caravan and help them with their needs. In this instance a Challenger Sport 640 was the perfect van with its great value and flexibility key in the purchase decision. It is brilliant to see the reaction and happiness of the six young Markland children to the family picking up the vehicle and hope they become caravanners themselves in years to come.”

Tom Anderton said “Over the last 6 months Swift have launched a first time buyer initiative aimed to get families and couples into the industry and get into a leisure vehicle. Whilst the Marklands are existing Caravanners it is great to see the benefits they get from caravanning. This is something Swift is promoting through the “Swift Experience” with a number of ambassadors sharing their experiences with a Swift leisure vehicle. The common reaction is the flexibility and freedom a caravan holiday can provide, and also a way to give up the gadgets and try more classical activities such as horse riding, walking, biking and kayaking. The big emphasis is on how much of a fun time you can have and I am sure the Marklands will have a great time in their new Swift Caravan.”

The Swift Ambassadors

David Hurst and his wife, Debs, their two young boys, Daniel (5) and Darley (3), and the family pet, Mr Colin dog, are currently exploring the world in their Swift Escape 696 motorhome.
The Hursts fell in love with the freedom a motorhome can offer during their first family trip to Spain, in a hired Swift Escape 686, in 2014. After returning from their holiday they took the decision to downsize their family home and purchase a van of their own. Upon purchasing their Swift Escape 696 they started their Face2Facebook project, in which they travelled with the UK and Europe to visit their Facebook friends and family and chose to donate £2 to a cancer charity for every person they visited. This commitment continues whenever their travels take them close to a family or friend’s home.

2015 saw them embark on their newest exciting adventure, ‘Education by Astonishment’, in which they have taken the decision to remove their eldest son from school for a while to increase learning in exciting and new environments, whilst sticking to a home schooling regime that follows the British National Curriculum subjects. They have pledged to donate to UNICEF for every astonishing person, place or thing they set out to see, incorporating the valuable life lesson that thinking of and giving to others is the best way of happy living.

David Hurst chose to be an ambassador for Swift because his family not only find the Swift motorhome lifestyle brilliant and a great deal of fun, but they also want to inspire others to get outdoors and visit amazing people and astonishing places – whether on long trips like theirs, or just for a few hours on a Sunday.
As David so rightly says, “Get outdoors and be astonished!”

Lee Davey

Lee Davey and his family own a Sprite tourer. For them, caravanning is about valuable time spent with family seeing new sights and experiencing new things. They are strong believers that caravanning not only encourages this but also allows affordable and frequent holidays, whilst staying within their budget. Lee, his wife, and two children (7 & 12) go caravanning up to 40 destinations a year. They use their caravan as the catalyst to enable them to see the UK and Europe at their own pace.

Lee’s family enjoy a range of outdoor pursuits such as kayaking, cycling, and horse riding. And they are always ready for a new adventure. This year will see them visit: Devon, Cornwall, Dorset, Somerset, the Cotswolds, West Midlands, France and Belgium, to name but a few!
Over the course of this year enjoying outdoor activities, making new friends and having fun as a family they will be putting down the gadgets, something they term 'Screen free breaks'. Lee said "We realised that the whole family were at times spending too long on our gadgets rather than speaking to each other and being more active. We are really excited about spending even more time in the great outdoors, and encourage all families who go caravanning or want to do it to give the gadgets a break and get out and about!"

Lee chose to become a Swift ambassador because he is a Swift tourer advocate and wants to get more people into the lifestyle.

“As it’s such a flexible way of getting away, our Sprite fits-in with whatever we want to do whether it’s action-packed, sit back & relax or hopping from one country to another.” Lee Davey.

In 2015 The Swift Group teamed up with extreme sportsman Neil Greentree, owner and boss of UK windsurf Race and Demo team Team QSW. His experience in outdoor sports and his passion for getting as much out of life as possible meant he was the obvious choice for The Swift Group to sponsor to test and write about how our products perform under extreme conditions.

Neil has always been very outdoor minded and his passion for exploration and adventure continues to this day. Neil is an extreme sport Junkie, who likes taking leisure vehicles along with him to give him the freedom to go wherever the wind takes him. He likes windsurfing, mountain biking, hiking, cycling, surfing and wants share his experiences and adventures to encourage others to get into leisure vehicles as he feels they are so important to enable an outdoor adventure lifestyle.

Neil told us, “I grew up with caravans and motorhomes and they have always been the most natural and organic way to travel and holiday. My experience in Freecamping (due to the location of sailing spots I sail) meant teaming up with Swift was a perfect vocation for me. To now be able to test and advise Swift with what works and what doesn't 'out in the field' just seems the right thing to do.”

Neil has been set a number of exciting 2015 ‘Challenge Neil Greetree’ assignments, which you can read more about soon. Find out more here: http://www.swiftgroup.co.uk/swift-group/swift-experience/neil-greentree
